Rattlesnake RouteGravel route from Rattlesnake Bridge Rd to Salyer Mad River Rd, Mad River, Humboldt County, California "Cross the Mad River and meet up with Rattlesnake Connector. Great fishing. When you finish both portions of the ride, take a left up the paved Forest Service Route 1 to the top of South Fork Mountain. Once up at the top, you can hang a left and ride on what may be the world's longest continuous ridgeline all the way to HWY 299. It's all paved, but only barely." |

Connecter to RattlesnakeGravel route from US Frst Service Rd 1 to Salyer Mad River Rd, Mad River, Humboldt County, California "With a quick fording of the Mad River at the Western end of this stretch, you can then hook up with the Rattlesnake Route that starts/ends (depending on direction you are heading) just East of Dinsmore. By the way, The Mad River along this route is my favorite fishing ever. Small Trout for catch and release fun on Ultra-light gear could make for an awesome overnight riding adventure." |

Paskenta Race Gravel SectionGravel route from Co Rd 58 to Co Rd 200, Orland, Glenn County, California "Love it or hate it (hated it), you gotta do this section if you want to earn your full 100 mile Paskenta Race stripes. It was deep gravel with a healthy serving of moon dust when I rode it last." |

Oregon Coast Gravel Epic - AlmostOther route on NF-1045, Waldport, Lincoln County, Oregon "This is the Abomination route from the Oregon Coast Gravel Epic Race minus about 10 miles. Those 10 miles include private property and more pavement. Felt it was better to offer a full public route with a little more climbing than the actual race. Climbing is always good, right? This is a mix of gravel and pavement with (from memory) about 70-75% gravel. If you get a chance in August of 2014 to do the official race, DO IT! Awesome. In the most painful sense of the word." 1 1 |
