This is the Abomination route from the Oregon Coast Gravel Epic Race minus about 10 miles. Those 10 miles include private property and more pavement. Felt it was better to offer a full public route with a little more climbing than the actual race. Climbing is always good, right?
This is a mix of gravel and pavement with (from memory) about 70-75% gravel. If you get a chance in August of 2014 to do the official race, DO IT! Awesome. In the most painful sense of the word.

Heads up that this route takes you onto private land (private road) on the section between Wakanda Beach road and the forest service road. We ran into the owner who wasn't too happy to have us there (apparently allows bikers ONLY for the Epic race itself). If you ride just 2k south on 101 (past Wakanda Beach road) there is a left turn onto a forest service road which puts you at the start of the loop.
