CX/Gravel bike acceptable. The east side portion of the ride is fairly packed down. Beware of large runoff channels that require a few non-optional bunny hops. The western portion has many sandy sections, the wider the tires the better. This ride could potentially be ridden as an out-and-back along the eastern portion of the Silver Island Range, as the western side is less interesting visually and the sand stretches can be slow.
