Gravel Segment
From Magpie Gulch Rd, Helena, Lewis and Clark County to Magpie Gulch Rd, Helena, Broadwater County, Montana
This route is quite open as it goes through an old burn area. It gradually ascends to the point where I've ended the segment where there is a great overlook of Magpie Gulch valley. One can continue on this road to a junction with Avalanche Gulch road, descend that back to the paved highway on the east side of Canyon Ferry Lake and make a loop route back to the starting point.
