Gravel Segment
From Dry Creek Rd to Unnamed Road, Boulder, Jefferson County, Montana
The best actual route starts near the boulder river (I could not get this to map accurately) which adds several more miles, starting in prairie and going through several ecosystems with good overlooks of the boulder valley, bull and high wood mountains. The road continues to Johnny gulch but there is a locked gate and private property preventing this. One could form a loop by taking the “tramway”connection to Queen’s gulch. this section is pretty technical in spots.
