Gravel Segment
On Cataloochee Entrance Rd, Waynesville, Haywood County, North Carolina
While this little stretch of road is less than a mile of gravel, is is WELL worth the visit. For those who are not aware, this is a popular place to see Elk, in the early mornings, and late evenings. Occasionally, you can catch them in the middle of the day if it's not too warm. Please note: The Elk are wild animals. They often walk in the road and near humans. Use caution on bikes. Enjoy!!!!!
