Well graded fire-road with a little pavement at either end.

01/07/2023 After heavy rain a few days ago the road is still very muddy but worse is that the cows have damaged a 3-4 mile section the road to the extent that it is very difficult to ride... vey slow going up and very bumpy coming down. Best to not ride this route for at least a week after last rainfall. With that said, the views are spectacular and the climb is long and steady but not a grind.

TP - Yes, there is a gate at either end of the dirt sections. Completely legal for hikers and bikes... gates are to keep unauthorized vehicles out.
