There is a parking pulloff at Avon near the Little Blackfoot river bridge. The route climbs to a plateau running through the Spotted Dog WMA with excellent views of the surrounding terrain. It then hits a junction with FS rd 314. One could turn left here and go through the national forest to Elliston, or keep straight and explore further.
