If you are intrested, there is an information centre about the history of the canal at the basin as well as information boards such as the one about the crashed Canberra bomber near manley bridge."

This track is doable on a road bike so should be fine on a gravel bike (it is not steep and a track!) There are plenty of bridleways on Exmoor (Lots of wich are steep and can be muddy) however as I use a road bike I am not sure the sutibility for gravel bikes."

The lane goes back to badly surfaced with big patches off dirt/animal muck. Whilest it isn't worth coming out just for this patch, you could route it on a ride when passing near, even on a road bike."
