Priddy Wood - Gravel bike Heaven!

Gravel route from B3135 to Old Bristol Rd, Somerset, England

"Priddy Woods is completely rideable on Gravel, Cross and mountain/fat bikes. Very Hard packed Gravel that is great fun. Some slight slopey bits, but not too hard, and you can ride it at quite a good speed. Nice wide pathways too. Very quiet on a Sunday morning. You can get to it by cycling up Torhole Bottom, head towards Cheddar and you will see a laybe on the left, this is your way in. Go and explore all the trails and take loads of scenic photos as its beautiful."

Birchwood Ln

Gravel route on Hunstrete Ln, Pensford, Bath and North East Somerset, England

"Birchwood lane leading to Lords wood is great fun. You can either carry on straight past the wood, or go into Lords Wood. There are a couple of Gravel Friendly trails in here, which form a lap around the lake inside. Ideal for Cyclocross practice, or one day, maybe even a cyclocross race would be amazing in here. Once you are done playing in the wood, carry on down the bridleway downhill. Dont go down into the river, but the path continues into the field and runs along the edge to cross a small stream which will bring you out in Woollard. You should be able to make out lots of tyre tracks on the edge of the field. Watch out in the woods if its pheasant shooting season though! Enjoy. This ride is will worth continuing back to Pensford and then seeking out the nearby Featherbed lane to climb up to Clutton."
