Morning Muck and Mosquitoes

Singletrack route from Mast Rd to New County Rd, Dayton, York County, Maine

"Starting at Mast Road which is paved and then trailing off onto ATV trails that skirt Dayton Sand and Gravel, this meanders around a bit of random ATV trail surrounding the borders of the gravel pit and Barker's Pond Road. Once you leave Barkers Pond Rd you have to skirt the very edge (?) of Dayton Sand. I don't know if its technically allowed but there are no signs here but plenty of 4X4, ATV and fat bike tire tracks. Once you are back onto ATV trail proper its a nice wandering flowy semi rocky/ semi technical trail. It had rained the night before and so there were eventually plenty of mud holes and standing water to navigate around or through. One section in particular is about 50 or 60 feet long with no real way of bushwacking around it.Going straight through it is a rocky bottom and at the time, was about 10-12 inches deep. Your mileage may vary."

Darbick Terrace

Dirt route on Darbick Terrace, Hollis, York County, Maine

"Short dirt road loop with a bit of a climb and a bit of a nice rolling descent."

Bennett Hill Rd

Gravel route on Bennett Hill Rd, Waterboro, York County, Maine

"Longish section of dirt road that descends steeply down to Waterboro Transfer Station. Fun ride but gravel gets loose midway down the hill. Expect to max out your HR if you climb it the opposite way."

Sand Pond Rd

Dirt route on Sand Pond Rd, Limington, York County, Maine

"Another short unpaved section of road. A bit sandy the closer you get to the bridge over the Little Ossippee."

Bean St

Dirt route from Bean St to Mailman Way, Hollis, York County, Maine

"Another short unpaved section of road. Short but easily accessible and a bit of a steady uphill 2-3% grind."

Old Limerick Rd

Dirt route on Old Limerick Rd, Hollis, York County, Maine

"Just a short connector but still fun to ride if you need a quick shot of hard packed mud and possibly mud puddles."

Millturn Rd to Beaver Berry Rd

Dirt route from Cape Rd to Beaver Berry Rd, Limington, York County, Maine

"Millturn Road is a wide dirt road with a few steepish sections that become some loose packed gravel near the intersection with Beaver Berry Road. Beaver Berry is a long meandering dirt road that becomes paved again before it intersects Boothby Road. There are some misc. ATV trails near the intersection with Beaver Berry and Millturn as well as a scenic stream crossing the Ossipee and fishing/ picnicking spot."

Berube Ln

Dirt route on Berube Ln, Hollis, York County, Maine

"Largely dirt road that passes by Poland Springs bottling plant. Some of the road becomes loose and sandy but mainly dirt. Past the power line crossing you can continue straight down single track that steeply descends to a boat launch on Killick Pond. ATV trails also follow the power lines in both directions."

Shy Beaver Rd

Dirt route on Shy Beaver Rd, Hollis, York County, Maine

"Hard packed dirt road that ends at a driveway."

Dennett Rd

Dirt route on Dennett Rd, Hollis, York County, Maine

"Short descent and climb back up that dead ends near a driveway."

2 mi   dirt

Barkers Pond Rd

Dirt route from Barkers Pond Rd to Tozier Ln, Dayton, York County, Maine

"The road around Barker's Pond can be ridden clockwise and it narrows down from a single hard packed dirt road car lane wide path to a narrower steeper in sections single track around the pond and by summer camps. If you cross the outskirts of the Dayton Sand Pit it becomes rougher and sandier but joins up with ATV trails that take you back to Rte 5."

Adventure Ride Climbing To Ossippee Mt. Fire Tower

Gravel route from Old Alfred Rd to Ossipee Hill Rd, Waterboro, York County, Maine

"McLucas begins as paved and goes to a tame dirt road before beginning some serious climbing. Some of the climbs averaged from 3-5% and then ramped up to 14% as the road revolved into ATV path. Alot of it was rideable probably only with a full suspension trail bike as the road got very loose and rocky. Eventually the last half before you get to the cell tower and fire lookout tower becomes a rock scramble that I've driven up in the past in a lifted jeep. Its pushabike time but the view is worth it. A road that shows on the map as Mountain Road is a split off from the trail that I followed and looks promising."

Panoramic Drive

Dirt route from Brookside Dr to Panoramic Dr, Waterboro, York County, Maine

"As was ridden this past summer 2017 it starts as paved and ends as well maintained dirt road. Goes by many new developments which may eventually paved. Near Deering Ridge side a sign states that its private but nothing on the other side. No one questioned me riding through it though so sign may be referring to large summer camp near that end of the road."

Nathan Smith Rd to Chadbourne Ridge Rd

Dirt route from Nathan Smith Rd to Chadbourne Ridge Rd, Waterboro, York County, Maine

"Short little trail/road. Begins as paved at Nathan Smith and becomes dirt. Narrows down to rocky trail used by ATVs. Many, many singletrack and ATV trails spiral off from these two roads. Chadbourne Ridge becomes paved again about a mile from where it joins up with 117/ Cape Road."
