it's fine doing it on a gravel bike, definitely not a road bike route.

Yes, this is for climbing. Would recommend a mountain bike for enjoying it downhill. There's a steep section that gets very muddy after it rains and takes a long time to dry up.

This trail is pretty tough to descend on a gravel bike.
