While this was a really fun ride, I'd say only the western half of this route is a gravel ride. The eastern half of the CCC road that eventually meets up with the newer CCC trail is solidly a MTB trail and as of June 2020 it's quite overgrown with bushes. Highly recommended but good to know what you're getting into if you decide to give it a go.
