Gravel Segment
From Olympic Hwy, Quilcene, Jefferson County to Unnamed Road, Sequim, Clallam County, Washington
Lords lake RD is paved until the reservoir. After that it is hard packed dirt up to Bon Jon Pass. From there you take the left road, which is a mountain road with more rock chunks and pot holes. This will lead to the trail head for Mt. Townsend that deadends. It is a good add-on extension for those who enjoy climbs. There are some cars up there for hiking.

There is an old trail from NF27 to the Mt Townsend Trailhead that I have hiked early in the year when the Mt Townsend approach road was snowed in. If someone were to investigate it, it could be a possible loop down to NF28.
