Gravel Segment
On Peach Valley Rd, Montrose, Montrose County, Colorado
Dirt and gravel road that starts off Peach Valley Road, continues to Elephant Skin Rd then turns north and dead ends at a trailhead for a hiking trail down to the Gunnison River. Surface is Bentonite clay and impassable when wet. It is a rougher surface than Peach Valley road with larger gravel, ruts and some rocks, but still fine (and super fun) for gravel bikes. The turnoff to Elephant Skin Rd is marked by BLM carsonite signs.
