I love this route. It rained the night before so the trails in the initial flats were muddy, very slippery and fun, but beware. Taking the roads is easier and more secure. We used motorcycles for this trail (f650gs 650cc and KLR 650cc) Once we passed Delle campground we went South towards Hastings Pass road (we went clockwise). The road was wide and great and the vistas just pure beauty!! We saw a wild black stallion running quite close to us! The road to Hastings Pass was more loose and a little bit more technical but nothing too bad. The Western side was also nice!! There is the abandoned cabin we stopped and also a wild mother horse and her colt roaming in that area... but they were far away. The end part (the most Northern section) of this route got sandy at times. We took this route very slow, so we could spak in the vistas, the crist Spring air and to see everything and enjoy the ride, and the entire loop took us about 5 hours. We also stopped for lunch and for photos. Enjoy this ride!!

Great Route, Ride it at least once a year usually clockwise from Aragonite. This gets the first climb over Hastings pass finished right of the bat and often a tailwind coming back the west side. Often see the wild horses.

Great ride. Beautiful broad views and consistently good road condition.
