The end of the this route is a farm field that dead ends into a courier of intersecting 10’ deep drainage ditches. The work around was easy enough to work out, and the rest of the route is good. If you ride this route know that at about mile 58.25 when it looks like a farm field, it is just that and you need to go off route to return to Crawfordsville.

We did a portion of this loop on 4/26/20. We started in Crawfordsville, headed out of town on paved road, then turned left onto dirt. I would have never called it a road if it wasn't listed as a road on Google maps. We rode down that dirt path until we turned right, again on dirt/grass. This was not a very enjoyable part of the ride, but once we made the next right hand turn, we were on beautiful gravel. When we were going south down county road 811, we tried to turn right, but it was another dirt path that was too wet to ride so we just turned around and continued south down 811. When you're on gravel, this is a great route. The dirt can be hit or miss.

Can you provide a little info on what these roads are like? Primarily dirt, smooth roads that could be handled by 28-30mm road tires, or would someone really need 38-40ish gravel-type tires?
