I'd definitely do this if you're driving by on I-80 as it took me no more than 3hr to complete it. MAKE SURE you ride this CCW because you'll be descending on I-80 for a few miles instead of ascending, which is probably safer. There are two places you can park closer to I-80 and start. You can start at exit 158 (Emigrant Gap) or exit 160 (Yuba Gap Dr.) as there are parking pull-outs and campsites.
