The south and west sides are graded gravel in very good condition. As you wrap up and around the northern point, it turns into a bit of a two track, but still quite good and rideable. On the east side, you jump on the old highway, which is really fun, although you have to navigate some small creeks where the bridge was washed out. And you have to jump a fence to get onto the highway. It's very straight forward. Just north of Woodside, there are two fences on the old highway that you can hop over, or if you don't like a little light trespassing, you can cut out just to the north and hit the highway a bit earlier. 10/10 would do again.
