I'm glad you enjoyed the route! It's my go-to ride whenever I visit SLO, usually in the spring. Amazing scenery when the hills are all lush and green. The final technical downhill can be challenging on a gravel bike, but makes the route a lot more fun in my opinion. There is one really steep section that I always have to walk it.

First half mainly off road, tough climbs but great views near the top, the downhill a little more technical than I expected but manageable. Back wheel did slip out a bit with a 42mm tire on it. I'm not a great descender so I would be nervous doing it with any narrower tires Second half mainly on road but hopefully with a tail wind
