Safest to do it clockwise, so you enter the trail from going northbound on the Sopac Trail, turn off onto the singletrack entry and climb up, then it's rough doubletrack up to the top of the hill, and then a loose gravel road on the way down (careful at the bottom! it exits onto White Rock Road, that doesn't have a ton of cars but does provide car access to a parking lot, the Filter Bldg, and Boathouse). If you did it counter-clockwise, you'd exit onto Sopac via a short steep descent into oncoming pedestrian/bicycle traffic.
