Gravel Route
From Rd 2061 to 6th Ave N, Wolf Point, Roosevelt County, Montana
This may be the best gravel riding on the Fort Peck Reservation. A warmup on boring old Powder River Rd., followed by a quick pavement link, sees you winding through some serene Northeast Montana ranchland. Say hi to the cows and soak in the rare scenery. Chances are that the surface will be the kind of loose, large gravel that requires 50mm or larger tires. You may be requires to cross Wolf Creek if the rain has been heavy lately and the low bridge is washed out. Final couple of miles are a fast finish on pavement (be careful of speedy cars on Highway 2).
