Rode this on 6/26/21. Most of this is paved except the 18 mile section from Harlan to Alsea Highway. Major obstacle at Fall Creek bridge on the south side of that section (5 miles from Alsea Hwy. Landslide and bridge out. Crossable but requires wading through creek and carrying the bike. Monster climbs. The gravel section has some really steep big rock areas. Some exposure in clear cuts. Beautiful woods. Water available, except along the high ridges, but usually requires a bushwhack down to a creek to access. Very little traffic and no cell signal. Store and bar and good swimming hole at Deadwood.
