The Dickeyville Trail includes a stretch of Wetherdsville Road that has been closed to auto traffic for many years. While the road was originally paved, it has deteriorated in many spots and now has multiple patches of gravel. Leaf litter and other organic debris and runoff also create that are closer to a dirt trail than a paved road. The road is rutted and uneven, but it's rideable on a road bike with proper tires and vigilance.
