Gravel Route
On Burr Trail Rd, Garfield County, Utah
Wolverine Loop Road is a 39.5 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Boulder, Utah that offers scenic views and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for mountain biking and ohv/off road driving and is accessible year-round. We drove in about 4 miles with a normal (not high-clearance) vehicle and parked near Horse Canyon Trailhead to get closer to the supposedly more scenic area.

Really good mixed surface gravel ride. Worth riding the pavement to the Burr Trail switchbacks overlook. Also the canyon beforehand, very scenic.

There seems to be a cut-off trail in the lower third or so. This was not part of the GPX file and we did not take it. You can see it on the National Geographic map of Capitol Reef or as a black dotted line called Wolverine By-Pass Road on All Trails. It could make this a shorter loop route and avoid Burr Trail riding.
