Hi Martin, I rode this route yesterday and 80% of it is awesome and great fun riding. But I found that the section between Frodsham and Pickerings Lock was totally unrideable. This section was a footpath and not a bridleway, so bikes shouldn't be riding down it anyway. The path was initially too bumpy to ride on a non-suspension gravel bike, then crossed a grassy field (with no real track to follow), became woodland which was impassable on a bike (low tree branches, steep banks, kissing gates every few metres) and finally a narrow bumpy track through tall grass inches from a barbed wire fence. I'm not sure if you have ridden this section but my sense of humour failure was big enough to make me think this section should not be included on this site! Thanks
