the Highland School Rd section has recently been paved; there is also pavement for about half of the Rum Spring Road section. However most of the rest is gravel and is great riding, including some very fun downhills on forest roads that have sections with small rocks and uneven surfaces, and of course also some significant uphills that are worth the effort. Generally a very quiet and pretty ride.
