A couple of comments:
1) The house at the crest of the hill has a rather fast dog that isn't always tied up. That made the initial descent on the "ghost road" portion very exciting.
2) Unless I missed something, there's not a connection between the end of the road and Ruth Weir Park (on Saxonburg). It's not difficult to hike-a-bike, though.
