Park at the Fairfax bridge or the "Y" up the road just after the bridge and ride roughly 2 miles of pavement to the start of the gravel. The gravel road gets a lot of traffic in the summer months and will be very dusty. There is a gate 11 miles in that is closed during winter months due to snow but bikes can cross as long as the snow level isn't that low yet.
