The climb up Avon Pass from the south just sucks. It's mediocre rocky/technical going up and way too chunky/technical going down. From the top of the pass to Paradise is pretty good riding though.
Road the Avon side to summit yesterday, rocky, but decent on my 40mm/45mm tires. Had to take seconds of the decent slow.
