yep, Temple to Muddy creek has some brutal sections that were tricky on gravel bikes, including several hike a bike sections. Otherwise, very nice gravel/dirt roads.

40mm tires minimum, and that's for a good bike handler. If the wheels are going to fall off both physically, mentally and mechanically it's going to be the west to east section from Muddy Creek to Temple Mtn. A short travel trail mtb would be perfect for that stretch.
