Mostly loose large gravel w/ some sections baseball/larger size rocks. Frequent large ruts in road on hill sections.

Can confirm. Severely large ruts in the road on one of the downhill sections. Bike wheel depth and about a foot wide was the worst one. I don't know which hill it was but I think it was the steepest one and it had a tremendously beautiful view but we were focused on picking a good line while descending it so couldn't really stop to admire the scenery.
