Currently, there is a break in one of the gravel roads which requires a stream crossing. I was unprepared and decided to take my shoes off, roll my pants up, and carry by bike and shoes across. There did appear to be a small amount of poison ivy there, so be careful. If you take this route, at least bring something to clean your feet before putting your socks back on.
