If you're on a mountain bike, the forest road heading south west of Hickory Knob is awesome. It's an old unmaintained forest road with huge trees grown in that fizzles into singletrack and goes all the way into Unicoi State Park. Tie that in with FS44 and @*# and you have an awesome loop!

Has some serious washouts and extremely rocky. It doesn't appear maintained. Great dual sport road.
