Goatheads are located next to the west side of I-25 dirt/weeds section! There is a massive amount of them. Riders need to create a route on the west side of the fence to/from the gravel road/RR tracks as close to the fence as possible, next to the farm field.

The dirt road that was next to I-25 is gone due to construction. You should stay on the west side of the fence next to the farm field and create a route to the RR underpass (south bound along the fence). If you are coming from the RR underpass, go to the west side of the farm field fence and follow it to the gravel road (north bound). You can get pass the fence, at the gravel road and ride to the RR underpass or stay on the east side of the fence, but I just did that and noticed goatheads growing, a lot of them! As of 8/30/26 they are still just growing and not dried out. They will dry out and become a problem.

The map will show the route going on I-25 near Mead. It, of course, does not. There is farmland to the west of I-25 and a dirt road beside it parallels I-25 and takes you to the RR underpass. The under pass will deliver you to the frontage road. This underpass can get very wet with deep mud. Walk the rails if it is soaked.
