Rode in November 2022 on 1200 ADV bike. Highly suggest avoiding the Alamo road part and start from Corn Creek.
Deep washout 1/2 way between NuWu Marathon and Corn Creek/DNWR building. Additionally there is a locked gate and fence for the DNWR closer to DNWR buildings - tried to head right but no go, needed to go left and ended up following dirt track by the power poles - ignoring a sign. Otherwise you should head down the DNWR fence towards Jenkin road and unknown access status there.
Rode again from the 95 side but started at the Corn Creek visitor center in order to skip the majority of Alamo road; much better surface compared to starting from Alamo road at 95, but still quite a bit of washboard and some sections of loose rock and washout.
Tried riding this today from the Alamo Road side; pretty tough going on 45mm; mostly golfball to baseball size loose rock and not much hard pack. Anyone know if its better going starting from the North East side (93)?
The road is closed to ALL off-highway vehicles (OHV)
Not a maintained road, 4 wheel drive is recommended but not required all the time. Watch out for washout, you may have to turn back. The campground is 1/2 way between US95 and US93 (start and end of the trail)
