This is a great loop combining some great canal paths, Scottsdale green belt, Mesa, and Tempe town lake. It's 70% gravel with a bit of paved path. Start at Chapparal park, go north along the Scottsdale Green belt, and you head down a dirt road along the canal path before turning towards Mesa. Very flat the whole way with some fast gravel sections. It's a pretty sweet ride and the majority is away from cars.
