Flat double track, hard pack road with a few sections of chunkier gravel/rock towards the western half of the trail. Be warned that this path is flooded easily and stays that way for several weeks after a good rain with anywhere from 1-6 inches of puddles that can cover the entire width of the trail. Bulk of the wet portions are just east of Beverly shores and extending out to Dunes National Park.
