Beach front on the Gulf of Mexico, sand depth varies depending on area, weather, tides, traffic etc. 25 mph speed limit near the entrance and up to 3 Mile Cut, sometimes patrolled by Sheriffs Department. Can also be accessed via "Beach Access Road." Must have valid Beach Permit, can be purchased at Stanley's in Matagorda and numerous other local places. "
