"The first part of the 'Hagen Loop'. Leaving San Felipe Casino the road can be very washboardy and sandy due to the truck traffic the fist couple miles. After that it can be anything from very sandy to packed and fast. No telling. Between miles 3 and 4.5 or so, look along the cliffs to your left for petroglyphs high up on the sides. At about mile 9.5 look left across the arroyo to the ghost town of Hagen (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hagan,_New_Mexico). At the south end of this route, head to La Madera (right) and come out near East Mountain High School. Or towards Golden (left) and end up on North 14 "
