Liebre Mountain Loop

Gravel route from Co Rte N2 to Old Ridge Route, Lancaster, Los Angeles County, California

"The trail is in good shape: smooth and mostly free of debris, but it's loose for some sections. I'd suggest at least 35mm tires, and take some chain lube: by the time I got to Papa's Store for resupply, I had trouble shifting. It's a fine dust in places. Two water bottles in cool weather got me to Papa's Store, and then another two got me to the start, but it was close; according to my Garmin temps were between 63F and 95F. Good idea to plan for three bottles. I tried to be conservative with my pace, and used my 30 ring and 35 cog a lot, sometimes visiting my 40 cog, but after 5,000 feet of dirt climbing, the stretch from Lake Hughes to the start was a tough 2,500 feet. I probably would've cramped catastrophically with a 1:1 ratio."

Between Aqueduct and Solar Panels

Gravel route from Bristle Cone Dr to W Ave L, Lancaster, Los Angeles County, California

"Slightly rough and loose on the east end of this track, but extremely well kept next to the solar panels. There is a gate on the south western tip of the track, not the north western tip."

B-80 to E-30

Gravel route from W Ave C to W Ave E, Lancaster, Los Angeles County, California

"Good way to skip fast desert roads. Watch out for meth labs and sandy bits, otherwise fast and smooth!"

70th to 85th Lancaster

Gravel route from 70th St W to W Ave L, Lancaster, Los Angeles County, California

"Sandy gravel road. A few trenches from the rain and a few sandy bits, but very fast most of the way because of the slight downhill. Watch the desert wind though..."
