This road follows the old private rail line of J. Pierpont Morgan to his Adirondack Great Camp, Camp Uncas (Named after the character from Cooper's "Last of the Mohicans".). Technically, it becomes Brown's Tract Road when the pavement ends and Dillon Road as you come into Raquette Lake, but it is the old Uncas Line spur. The one way ride ends at the public beach in Raquette Lake. There are several alternates along the route which will still bring you out in the same place, or provide for different view if going out and back." 2 1

Start and finish at Temperance River USFS Campground. Alternate parking/start at point #3 on the map. FR 1235 used to be a through road, and can still be bushwacked if your nav skill are good. Good fishing throughout; Temperance and Baptism Rivers are trout streams."
