To access this property, you need a Recreation Permit for the Regional Water Authority. They can be purchased online at www.rwater.com/recreation

Been here a few times, the only way to access it (legally) is through the entrance of the recreation area on Hosley Ave. You need a permit to bike here and the gate to get into the parking area is locked unless you have the combination that comes with the permit. Paying to bike turned me off at first, but this is hands down the best gravel trails in lower CT. The long double track is perfect for cyclocross and gravel bikes and has a few challenging climbs and descends. Fantastic views here as well. In total, there's about 8 miles of trail, not counting the power line trails. Overall this place is quiet and beautiful.

Actually, the left end is gated off as well right before the bridge, but it may still be accessible from the parking location (located at 41.308953, -72.826770) on the northern part of Hosley Ave. From the parking location, follow the doubletrack to the power lines. Cross the powerlines straight ahead, follow the doubletrack until you meet the route near "Farm River".
