With the steep grades encountered, expect this loop ride to take around 3 to 4 hours. Wide tires 2 inches or larger will help get through the deep sand as Castle Hot Springs road shares a dry creek bed for several miles. Parking at the North Lake Pleasant lot is $6 for cars, or one could add distance and park a few miles outside the park entrance to save on the fee.
