Gravel Route
From Post Office Flts Rd to Forest Service 448 Rd, Grants, Cibola County, New Mexico
Great route on a gravel bike or a mountain bike. 100% rideable on either in either direction. Abundant parking at the start location. Multiple camping options, too. Some nicer camping in about a 1/4 mile or so. Looks like a bit of a party spot at the parking area, , so if camping, perhaps drive in that little bit more. If riding clockwise, the climbing is on two-track forest road with some scattered easy to moderate technical sections. Once the bulk of climbing is done, you hit maintained roads and finish on a long downhill on a great gravel road. Probably more fun on a mountain bike to do it counter clockwise, which would put the bulk of climbing on killer gravel and then provide a fast downhill back to parking on the two-track. The route does pass one stock tank that looks like it has water year round, but it would need to be filtered. Looks like many options for bike packing out here, too.
