Gravel Route
On S Arm Rd, South Arm, Clarence Valley Council, New South Wales
60 to 70pc gravel with some linking sealed roads. This a great adventure into swamps and coastal woodlands, popping out into low lying river valley farm lands. There's amenities at Maclean, and a general store about halfway at Tucabia. Tyre sizes of 40-46mm would be best suited and no need for grippy tread. minimal tread or slicks are fine on these very flat roads. gravel surfaces vary from flat and fast to coarse and rough. The only small hills on this ride are at the southern end of the course before popping out of the forest near Tucabia. The first half of the ride is shaded mostly, however the 2nd half of the ride is very exposed. Poor or no phone reception in the forest area, but this loop just remains on the main and natural path of the gravel road where it starts up shark creek to popping out at Tucabia.
